FixVERTICALoversharp?

Is there any filter that does what FixVHSoversharp does, but vertically? I've noticed that I have lots of captures with bright lines BELOW transitions between objects similar to those that FixVHSoversharp would fix if they were to the left or right. I remember reading somewhere that this might be an artifact of the compression used by DV encoding. Any ideas?

I have never tried this, but I wonder if you could use TurnRight or TurnLeft so frames are vertical, then run FixVhsOversharp, then turn the video back again.

I have no idea if turning video back and forth like this would cause additional artifacts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but blinddehalo3 is a general dehalo-er for removing edge enhancement effects and not designed for the specific case of when the halo is just on one side.

On the other hand, in theory the turn idea for fixvhsovershrap should work. The documentation says it may have trouble with frames over 352 pixels wide, so you might have to do some clever cropping and vertical stacking to get the desired effect. I've tried this filter before but didn't have much sucess with it.

the initial poster didn't wrote that the halos just were on black or white sides of a border.

He just wrote that the halos were existant in the horizontal domain. this will be perfectly doable with blinddehalo.
