How to disable the DVD playback in WMP 10?

My default player to play DVD is PowerDVD, but each time I double-click on the DVD, WMP is taking over it and open it.

D**m it, I don;t want to use this crappy palyer to play DVD. I only use it for playing music.

I tried to remove the "DVD" in the WMP setting, but each time I open this player, the DVD is checked. It won't follow my order...

Is there a registry or something that I can disable this annoying thing?

Or look for a "restore file associations at startup" option or similar. Hopefully they were nice enough to put one in. >_>

Instead of left double-clicking, single rightclick on the file an select "Open With", select PowerDVD (You may have to "browse" for it) and put a checkmark next to "Always open with this program"...

lol, I don't like this program (that's my taste). I mean, there's already a music program. Installing another one is not a great idea for me as I always try to keep my Windows clean.

Doing double-left-click is faster than single rightclick on the file an select "Open With"...

Between, where's the checkmark? I don't see any.

You only have to do this ONE TIME, to re-associate the filetype with PowerDVD - and from then on, left double-clicking should automatically open the DVD in PowerDVD...

Checkmark only shows up if you actually "choose program" and browse for it. If you're going to go to the trouble then you might as well just associate it directly, via Explorer's tools menu->folder options->file types. You get to pick the icon and the name for the file type that way, plus you can add options to the command line. :p
