no picture(only sound) on svcd encoded mjpeg avi

When trying to make svcd from my mjpeg avi files created with a pinnacle dc10+(from hi8 cam), the picture dont get encoded. The sound is fine. This is with ver.2.5
With earliere versions like 12b it works fine.
Why ?

I'm guessing some other aspect of your system, such as directshow filters, has changed since the release of 12a, which was quite a long time ago.

Try playing the .avi file in windows media player. Does that work?

but still 12a works fine, 2.5 dont
what can i do ?

i ment, the avi`s dont play well in the mediaplayer, - there is a lot of noise and strange colours

Install an MJPEG codec that allows you to play the .avi file properly in windows media player. If WMP can't play it, TMPGEnc can't either.
