when encoding dvd's to xvid, i am able to get around 100fps however when encoding hd transport streams to xvid, i only get around 30fps.

are there any avisynth filters/scripts that are optimized for hdtv content? because 30fps just seems way too slow.

for interlaced content i use tomsmocomp and for ivtc i use smartdecimate.

my system is

intel core 2 duo e6400
2gb ram
winxp
xvid 1.2smp using 2 threads
avisynth 2.5.7

HDTV means a lot higher resolution, which means a lot more pixels to process... there's no way around it. An "optimized" filter that got you, say, 60 FPS, would go 200 FPS for the standard-definition source.
