problems with re-Mpeg 1.5.2...

I tried using re-Mpeg 1.5.2 on both windows 2000 and 98 with no luck. The OS will prematurely re-boot (win 2000) or I get an "illegal operation had occurred" (win 98). Maybe I need to install win me??? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I'm using it on Win2000 with no problems, almost.

Well sometimes it crashes. But if I retry it, it works.
I'm sorry, but currently it's the only tool, that makes all this copiing possible.
