Hi,
I rip dvds with dvd decrypter, HD DV Fab and any dvd but I can't seem to find any software that keeps the Dolby 5.1 track with the final copy...I play the dvds back on my PS3, using ps3 Video 9 to convert to Mp4...is this losing the sound quality due to compression? Is there any way to preserve the DD track in mp4? Thanks a lot for your help

I don't think mp4 supports ac3(DD) in it.
what you could do is...after ripping the dvd...extract the ac3 track using DGINDEX(Dmpgdec)... and then convert this track to 5.1 HE/LC Nero AAC using BeSweet(Belight as GUI or any other..)you will need nero digital audio for nero aac. you can download it from the nero site.
now you will get an m4a track which has 5.1 AAC
convert your DVD as usual using the software you do...
you will probably get a mp4 output...
now, u can extract the video from it using YAMB.
now use this video and the audio file you created using BeSweet and Mux it using YAMB into a mp4.
now you will get an mp4 with 5.1ch AAC and your normal video.
whether this'll play on ps3 i dont know... but mp4 dosent support AC3.
