Hi there. When I hit the preview button (AutoGK), I see the DGIndex window pop up and I get a log file:

However that's it. I get no preview. I have Winamp as my default .avi player, and I'm running Windows Media Center (Version 2002, Service Pack 2). Also I saw this post http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=123792&highlight=preview and set all supported formats to XviD in ffdshow but still no luck.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Was anything launched or just nothing happens? AutoGK tries to launch mplayer2.exe in Window Media Player directory of your program files

Hi len0x! Thanks for replying, and thanks for creating the awesome AutoGK!

After the DGIndex window disappears, nothing happens. I checked my Windows Media Player directory and I don't have a mplayer2.exe file. Just a wmplayer.exe file. It's Windows Media Player 11. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have the Media Center Edition of Windows? Also, I can't remember what version of Windows Media Player the OS came pre-installed with but I do remember that I had to install WMP 11.

You may be able to use Media Player Classic instead, just download it, unzip and copy the files into the C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player directory and rename mplayerc.exe to mplayer2.exe.

Me thinks if I should bundle MPC for this purpose since mplayer2 is absent on vista as well...

It looks like you added it (mplayer2.exe) to AutoGK 2.45! Nice! Just tried it and everything works great! :)

I really didn't, I only was going to add mpc into 2.46... :)

I thought I'd deleted it (after putting it there as CWR03 described) to explicitly check if it was in 2.45. Guess I'm going crazy.

I have this problem too with MCE.

I have tried to copy Media Player Classic into the aforementioned directory, and then renaming it mplayer2.exe. However, it gets written over again by some other version of 121kB in size. I am not sure why this is happening.

Please help.

It looks like system file protection is preventing me from replaceing mplayer2.exe with Media Player Classic. SFC can't be turned off in XP SP3 so, I am stuck for the time being unable to preview movies in AGK. :(

You don't need to replace mplayer2.exe. AGK version 2.46 and later have MPC included in the download. It will be installed into Program Files\AutoGK\mpc and used from there.
