Gordian Knot Ripping issues

I have been trying to use Gordian Knot to backup a couple of my DVD's. I trying to make 700Mb Xvid's, however it refuses to make a 700mb file, it comes out at between 800-900mb. I have tried re-encoding but it still has the same problem. So far i have experienced this on only 3 tv episodes, but others come out fine.

Does anybody know what the problem is?

I've had random issues with this myself, and there seems to be no solution other than switching to an older version of Xvid or using v264 (or reencoding over and over while adjusting the filesize until it's close enough). To use the latter you'll need the VfW build, and you'll lose IVTC, but for movies it's superior to Xvid. If you haven't already done it, uninstall and reinstall Xvid, and you'll need to uninstall Xvid first if you go with an older version.
