I am trying to backup 2.35:1 pal dvd movies to use on my stand alone dvd and widescreen tv (16:9). I want the copy to be ecactly like the original but a minidvd on a cd instead.
The thing is that in xmpeg there is two settings.
Keep aspect ratio (is marked): 1, 4/3, 16/9, 2.21 or custom?
Pixel aspect: 1:1 (VGA), 4:3 (TV) or 16:9 (TV)?
And ofcourse frame size wihch I set to 720 x 576!
And in cce (the plugin) there is one setting:
keep aspect ratio (is marked): SAR 1:1, DAR 4:3, DAR 16:9 orDAR 2.21:1?
Which adds up to 3 total settings. What should all of those be for a 2.35:1 movie?
Thanks for any help you guys can gimme :)
First I used to set it to 16:9 on all tree. Then it looked good on my monitor (matrox g450 tv output) and my stand alone dvd (if I just renamed the m2v to vob for testing on my stand alone dvd). But after bbmpeg was finished it looked fuckedup on my tv using the stand alone dvd player, but good on my monitor and tv output to the tv.
