I have a problem with my Pioneer dvd player (DV-393).

When i use this methood with muxman to modify the dvd menu then the menu that i modifyed not working on this player but on other players it works fine, the menu is shown but there are no buttons and no way to go back.

On my other player and on the computer the menu wors fine, also there are some movies that when i add my own subtitles to them then the DVD dont show any of the subtitle that are on the dvd movie (agian in other player it work).

I download and install the latest fimware for this player but with still nothing has changed.

I just want to know if there is somthing that i can do in the proccess that can fix this.

pioneer doesn't release that much firmware updates actually (especially for "old" models). nonetheless, i know how you feel actually, for me it's impossible to even play some original pressed dvds on my pioneer dv-575a.. whereas other discs play just fine. i don't know for sure, but i think i'll refuse to buy pioneer players in the future :(

i've heard that denon has some fancy players :)
