MPG file to a DVD

My friend put a bunch of mpg movies on my computer for my kids to watch, and I was wondering if it is possible to burn them on regular DVD's so they can watch them on their dvd player instead of on my computer, and if so how should I do this?
I use dvdfabHDD/dvdshrink/dvdD but I have never dealt w/MPG files before. I am used to just copying my DVD's straight from the original DVD.
