I've been using dvdshrink to backup up dvds to single-layer discs and the whole process usually takes well over an hour (I always select "perform deep analysis before backup" and "compress video with high quality adaptive error compensation").
Using dvdfab platinum the same process takes only 30 mins. Is there a difference in the quality of the output or is dvdfab just a better program?

Hi!Is there a difference in the quality of the output
1) Since you have both programs, you should be able to visually determine if you see a difference in quality
2) You may also want to question and determine whether you see a difference between using and not using "AEC" in DVD Shrink, as well as using and not using "DA" in DVD Shrink
