Hi everybody!

I've been doing some SD DVB-T capturing lately on a Linux box and would like to preview the recordings at a lower bitrate (say 1 Mbps) preferrably in near realtime.

The problem is that the CPU on my Linux box is a bit crappy. Unfortunately for this application upgrading is not an option.

CPU: Intel Celeron 2/Pentium III Coppermine,Geyserville (Family: 6, Model: 8, Stepping: 6)
CPUflags: Type: 6 MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0

I seem to be unable to break the 16 fps barrier, regardless of codec, scaling or other parameters. I'm not fussy about codecs, containers, encoders or quality, as long as I'm able to get a low bitrate preview in a reasonable time.

Any suggestions?
