Hi!
Depending on the DVD, some ripping tools may or may not do the trick.
What is the Title and Region of your original DVD?

From the Alcohol-Soft mainpage:
*Due to the present legal restrictions DVD titles protected with CSS protection can not be backed up.
Almost all movie DVD's are CSS encrypted
Use another program like DVD Decrypter, DVDFab HD Decrypter, Clone DVD/AnyDVD

Coupled with AnyDVD or the likes, backup should be feasible with Alcohol120.

i think dvdfab much better, anydvd usually crash, [deleted] (well, dvdfab free), and dvdfab support more protection type
