First off, I have never had any problems with autogk. It has been a gem in the find for good video conversion.
I am trying ot find out a little more about the analysis that autogk does in its various processes. I have been monitoring the changes autogk makes to the d2v file created by dgindex. I notice that sometimes it will choose to leave the file alone, while at other times it will change the frame rate from 30000/1001 to 24000/1001.
How does it make this decision and why?
The content I have been monitoring is from Avatar: The Last Airbender DVDs (excellent show by the way, if you like cartoons.) All the episodes are hybrid and about half of them get encoded at 29.97 fps, the other half, 23.976 fps.
