Nero burning problems - cutting out!

After having no problem for many years, now each time I use nero :copy CD function it lets me put the Cd and blank it, it reads both then once I hit the button copy the computer cuts out an automatically reboots/restarts the computer then I get an error report message. It will no longer let me do this function without it cutting out. Any ideas?? Thanks

Hi!

1) Try UNinstalling NERO, rebooting, then REinstalling NERO (Make certain that you've stored/printed your NERO serial number somewhere)

2) Try performing a "System Restore"

update to newest nero 7.9.6.0, older version have lots of bugs

cross, it would have nothing to do with the version of Nero he is using (as in your response, you didn't even *ask* him which version he was using...). It is very possible that during the portion where the computer reboots, Nero is attempting to put something into memory that is causing Windows to get an unrecoverable error.

My first question is, does this always happen/is it repeatable.

Second question, can you pull up the event viewer and see what Windows was doing last before it crashed? (control panel/administrator tools/event viewer, the most useful portion will be the application tab, check for anomalies in the text which list a crash dumb, and the last thing windows tried to do before it rebooted)

Third question is also a possible solution (like was offered). Completely uninstall Nero, AND reboot.
THEN reinstall Nero. REBOOT AGAIN.
Then try again and see what happens.
