Using InverseTelecine causes GKnot to crash during 1st pass run.
Anyone experienced problems with the InverseTelecine plugin together
with GKnot?
I'm on Win XP.

I never utilized this option, is it necessary?
Can someone please give me a brief definition of “InverseTelecine”?
I just noticed that gknot gives us the option to use it if we deactivated force file in dvd2avi. Since I never utilized it, I was wondering if I should? What would be the benefit?

When checking the "Inverse Telecine" button and after that checking
the "IVTC in avs -> correct Frame Count" button Gordian Knot crashes
on me after i press "Add Job to Encoding Queue". When just using the
"IVTC in avs -> correct Frame Count" button GordianKnot gives me
access violation. And lastly when I press only "Inverse Telecine"
button I get an error too but that's probably a bug in AviSynth or
the InverseTelecine dll.
From what I've read using "force FILM" in dvd2avi isn't right todo
since it doesn't do an intelligent decision about what frames it
should remove to achieve the best quality.

I am getting the same error too. Using an Athalon 1.4GHz, 512MB DDR RAM, GeForce2 Pro, SB Live 5.1 Platinum, and Windows 200 Pro with Service Pack 2 and latest security fixes. Very clean minimalist install. Only installed WinZip, sound & video & network drivers, Gordian Knot .23, & Divx 4.12, & PowerDVD.
I would love to use this PC to encode movies sinze its is the fastest PC in the house (next fastest is a Dual P2-400, then a Celeron 400) but this error is holding me back.

TheWEF:
Have you considered using the IVTC2.2? I've found it to be much better, personally. I'd give it a whirl if you have time. See what you think.
