confused about creation of iso

Hi,
I'm curious about something... I just started using DVD Fab Gold (not freeware) for backing up. I had been using Ripit and other freeware, but was starting to notice some probs. So I am used to either ripping it to iso or creating an iso from vob's. DVD Fab Gold is working fine, but I notice that it seems to rip it in file mode (Audio TS & Video TS folders) and then burns it from there. Is it creating an iso file on the fly or does it even make an iso file? Thanks.

Will a moderator please move this to the "One Click" section?; maybe I'll get an answer there. Or tell me it's a stupid question, but that's why I started it in the Newbies section.

I don't think is creating an ISO on the fly. It seems to be like it's doing the same thing as Nero (get the vobs, burn them by choosing the video option- dump vobs in the video_ts folder -, done).
