newbie problem with dvd2svcd - auth_call.exe

sorry if this is a known issue or im stupid, but when i open dvd2svcd and try to load the ifo file i get an illegal operation error and asked to send an error report to ms. in the dos window, it says:

e:\aspi loaded
Drive Authentification for Dos
ASPI for 2000/NT/Whistler
Found GETHTL

and then an error with auth_call.exe comes up and the "Analyzing video, please wait" window wont go away. please help me get past this problem

Ya, I have the same exact problem as biennerienno. auth_call.exe crashes and that "Analyzing video, please wait..." info window will not go away.

It appears I may be able to use DVD2SVCD regardless of this problem, but I have yet to do so.

I really wanna resolve this problem anyway. Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this problem???

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition.
