Transfering DRM files (I own) to new computer/transcoding them

I have some instructional videos on an old computer (Win XP/WMP 10) in ASF format. They are protected by MS Media Player DRM. The company that I purchased the videos from no longer exists.

I want to move these files to my new computers (XP WMP 10 or 11).

When I try to open them on the new computer I get a message that I need a license to play these files and then a blank browser (page can not be found) window opens since the company no longer exists.

I have also tried backup/restore of license files to new computer but get a message that I have exceeded my restores for that day (I get the message every day and have been trying for a few weeks).

I have tried the new 'fixed' version of Fairuse4wm but get an error message 'wrong private key'

Since I have the license on my old computer I can play the files and found SoundTaxi Ultra able to transcode them to another format. Unfortunately the purchase SoundTaxi Ultra link doesn't work.

I want to get rid of my old computer, but cant since it is the only machine that will play these files.

Anyone have any good ideas?

Well, you had only one post, so I wondered if you had seen it. Now I see that you mentioned that you had tried it. So now I suggest that you post your problem in that thread.

Yes, but why not post in the thread where the FairUse4WM people hang out? Your title here doesn't mention it, so they may miss it. You could just post a pointer in there to this thread if you like.

The FairUse4WM thread was so long and goes in so many directions I thought I would start a new post.

Also I am not committed to using FairUse4WM, I would appreciate SoundTaxi Ultra comments or anything else that might work.

use both the fairuse4wm way of acquiring keys and mirakagi.

mirakagi is really only good for WMP11 xp/vista and some screwed versions of 10xp...
