Hi, whenever I try to encode using the --esa search method, it tells me that "threading is not yet supported with esa", but I usually ignore it.. until today, when I examined my encodes that I supposedly used ESA with, and avinaptic reports that the motion estimation method that was used is umh
user data me=umh
So I guess it wasn't used, am I correct?

Can someone do a test encode using the ESA Search method and use avinaptic or a hex editor to see if it reports the motion estimation method that was used is indeed ESA?

When encoding, I get this:

The encoding speed drops from the norm when using ESA compared to umh, so i'd like to know if i'm using it or not instead of wasting my time.

Don't ignore warnings, they're there for a reason.

Ok, thanks for the info. I had threads set to auto; now that I removed it from the commandlimne, it now reports that i'm using ESA. :D
I wonder if there's others who thought they were using ESA as well, when they were in fact using umh due to the --threads auto command.

Ehrr.. sorry i missed this thread.
The encoder was reverting to UMH. That's why i set UMH in HQ-Insane profile for megui...
