One of the easiest ways is with a commercial solution, such as Nero Vision or Roxio DVD Builder. They're both drag-and-drop simple, but you'd first need to get the files from the disks to your hard drive.

Putting two full disks of video onto one will result in poor quality video.

Hi CWR03.

Putting two full disks of video onto one will result in poor quality video.

It's not the same result when follow this.

First: Rip the files from the disks to hard drive. you had better rip to AVI video format.
Second: Use DVD Author tool to create one dvd. So easy task. Not only never loss pic quality, but also easy to view each film. you can click title menu to play either film, click chapter menu to view part episode.

Better than only bruning on one dvd. Do you think so?

Hi, psychotic, and welcome to the forum.

I have another suggestion for you: DVD Shrink (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Vobtools/dvdshrink32setup.zip). It's freeware and needs a little learning, but there are several guides on this very site.

In fact, you should check the guides and downloads on Doom9.org (http://www.doom9.org) first, many things will be clearer.

Hope this helps.

Are you talking about converting the DVD files to AVI, then converting back to DVD format? Not only is that a huge amount of time and trouble, but it will absolutely lose a lot of quality since it means converting twice into a lossy format.

Is "DVD Author tool" a commercial program or just a general suggestion?

Your is a commercial solution, so am i. You refer to Nero Vision or Roxio DVD Builder. The two are good software especially Nero in my impression. But I wonder your suggestion isn't through converting?
Compare my idea, It isn't only convert to AVI first then convert back to DVD. It really DVD create process.
I never feel pic quality loss.

Roxio does not offer trial versions of their softwares. Nero does, and Nero Vision is at least as easy to use.

Your is a commercial solution, so am i.
The difference is that I'm not here to promote any particular software as you have in five of your last eight posts.

if you want to combine 2 dvd into 1, i think you have to author it first
