So I've opened the VOBS in DGIndex. When I hit 'F5' to preview I noticed under the 'Status' area it says 'Info - Block Error'. When I try to save the project into a .d2v file I get the error 'Too many pictures per GOP (>=500)' then DGIndex closes. I'm not sure how to work around this?

:thanks:

It means you have a corruption in the stream.

Did you rip these VOBs from a DVD or get them somewhere else?

I can try to help you if you post a link to a VOB fragment that allows me to duplicate your issue.

I ripped the VOBs from the DVD. I don't know how to cut a VOB into a, sample persay, so I'm afraid I can't upload a piece for you. :(

I tried ripping the VOBs again but still have the same problem. I thought maybe the DVD was encoded incorrectly but I can watch the VOBs/DVD perfectly fine.

I'm afraid I can't upload a piece for you. Then I'm afraid I can't help you. It's a simple operation. You could do a little research and figure it out in less than 15 minutes.

Can you please help me with the block corruption in the stream?

I didn't want to open a new thread, so posting here. I have this piece of a video (captured yesterday, 7 MB m2v):

When I press F5 in DGIndex it will show "block error" in the Info. I will not find anything unusual in the D2V file though. Is there some way I could index the file and find out if edit:and where there are any "block errors" in it? If not, is there some chance you could implement it?

Thank you very much.

I don't want a visual preview running (which would show the block error at some time), I just need to know if and where in the file the errors appear (= logged in the log file). One more question: does the preview at the maximum speed catch an error even if it is a single GOP in the entire stream?

You have to decode the video to catch the errors. You can do it at max speed. Please put a feature request in the development thread requesting logging of the errors.
