I would like to rename some files (avi, mpg, etc) adding at the end of filename the bitrate, frame size, codec, audio bitrate and so on... Is there a way or a program that already does that?

Not sure if it even exists. However, most video archvisists would probably consider this a metadata issue. The MKV container is the best at that - you can write a novel of info in each file...

File names are rather limited. You only have so many characters, can't input blurbs/lyrics, and certainly can't have special characters, or even a "?" in the title, which shows up on several video files, and even songs...

However, if someone knows an app that does more than just rename files, and adds such video data to them, I'd still be interested ...

...sorry I couldn't help you more than that...

Thanks for your help.
It could be useful a shell extension based on MediaInfo...

I use a program that can do that with JPEG (still) pictures. It's called 'SetNameToTime' which I just noticed is no longer free, and no longer Beta...
