I have been having the same problem lately and it is really frustrating me.

I author my projects in Scenarist, and everything seems fine, but when I burn the DVD, it is different than what my Scenarist File/Preview shows me.

#1) Issues with audio. On my title, i have a play all and an episodes link. When I play through play all, everything is fine. When i play each video through my episodes link, the audio is not working.

I don't get it. The file is pulling the video from the same place and file, so how is it that through one link it works right, and the other link it does not.

This audio issue has been happening to me a lot lately.

What's also weird, is that I get different results playing it with Power DVD versus Nero Showtime. The thing works right in Nero, but when I burn it and play it on a DVD player, it doesn't work right (the same on power DVD).

#2) Same kind of situation, but this time with issues with some Highlights.

Can anyone help me?!

I am really confused and just can't figure out why this is happening. Everything seems right and works right in Scenarist, but the burn is different. How is this possible?

I would be happy to send my .SCN files if someone can take a look and help.

THANKS!!!!

For the highlights problem... are your menu in 16:9 aspect ratio? In that case you need to use 2 different subpictures.

For all the rest... which version are you using?

I am using Scenarist 3.0

The highlight issue is small, as when i re-output, it's fine.

The audio thing is really driving me nuts though, and I'm wasting tons of disks.

Do you have more than 1 audio stream?

Is each episode in a seperate title, or the same title but different PGCs?

If using several pgcs always check the PGC audio attributes.

Are you using any conflicting VM commands?

I worked it out. it actually turned out to be a problem with the burn. When I would burn with verify mode, i got a warning that the disk was different than the source file. Not sure why that happened, but I changed my burning program and the problem fixed itself. THANKS!
