nope, but you can probably convert it to srt, then to ssa, then with maestrostb you can make a stream of images scenarist will accept ;)

actually i did do this ok, but due to scenrist's weird timecodes it screws up the times of the subs.
EG:
video and audio are both 3hr 15mins long when played outside of scenrist and the subs are correct to that time. as soon as i import the video and audio they show up in screnrist as say 3hr 7mins. both show this not just the video, then i import the png's but they stay at the original time of 3hr 15mins. so after authoring the subs slowly go out of sync throughout the movie. why does scenrist show a different time is beyond me, if i author the video/audio they play perfect of course on my hd-a2.
i used supread to save out the png files and subtitles.scn-sst and then imported the subtitles.scn-sst into scenrist without issues. this is in scenrist advanced author version

This reminds me of "drop frame" timecode. Did you check for that?
Just guessing.

What I recognized, when I imported a 2 hrs movie (23.976 fps) and imported my subs, they were also out of sync (approx 10 seconds).
When I realized the length of the movie is in Scenarist shorter than my source, I calculated from the time difference the fps, which Scenarist uses. Its 24fps.
So with source files in 23.976fps, Scenarist calculates the time with 24fps, audio and video. Also PowerDVD plays the movie with 24fps.
So u need to convert ur Subtitles according to that. If you create ur Scenarist Subs with MaestroSBT, u can do it directly there.

Look , I know the way to solve your problem.
do step by step as I say, and ur problem will be solved simply:
1 - create a new NTSC project in Scenarist. When u r setting the scenarist to NTSC, choose drop-frame. DO NOT CHOOSE NON-DROP FRAME AT ANY TIME FOR YOUR PROJECT.
2 - Import your video
3 - Import your audio
4 - import your sst file.
Maybe you say that you did the same steps before. But your mistake, was the time that you should choosed your system of project. I remind that choose drop-frame and DO NOT CHOOSE NON-DROP FRAME AT ANY TIME FOR YOUR PROJECT.
Tell me the result.
I bet your problem is solved.

How do i change to drop-frame? I don't see any options which allows me to select between the two.
Edit: Nevermind. I found out how. Click on "Stream Editor" tab and then "Drop Fame/Non-Drop Frame" drop down list appears on bellow the menu options.
