I have been trying to author my HD-DVDs with AC3 sound in order to keep backward compability. However, everytime I author an HD-DVD with AC3 it gets muxed as if it is Dolby Digital Plus .EC3

As far as I know Scenarist automatically tells what kind of file it is. Even if it says (dolby Digital) the end product inside the .evo its a dolby digital plus.

Why is this such a big deal? well, if you use Windows Media Player to play .evo files with any directshow filter for .avc you get to see the video just fine but unless the audio is muxed as .ac3 (dolby Digital) you wont get audio.

Either that or does anyone knows a Dolby Digital PLus decoder for DirectShow?
