Nero export at 61 Mbps mpeg-2 or AVCHD at 14 Mbps?

I downloaded from the apple website the movie trailer for Golden Compass 11 Mbps, 1920*816(2.35), at 23.976 fps, H.264
qt: 192 MiB, 2mn 29s,

Then just for kicks I decided to use the export function in Nero Vision and went for:
MPEG-2PS: 612 MiB, 2mn 28s
1 video streams: MPEG-2 Video
1 audio streams: MPEG-1 Audio layer 2

First video stream
61 Mbps, 1920*1088 (16/9), at 29.970 fps, MPEG-2 Video (Main@High) (Custom Matrix)

First audio stream
224 Kbps, 44 KHz, 2 channels, MPEG-1 Audio

Versus an Nero AVCHD encode at
14000 Kbps for the video

What will look better?

The avc file or the MPEG-2 file?

Well folks the encode at 61 Megabits per second was a failure as it managed to play in software like VLC but after being burned to a CD disc as a data format I got:
Corrupted data?

Geez.

So here I go again only this time I am going to try Nero Export function at:
30 Megabits per second and try to compare this versus an AVCHD encode at 14 Megabits per second

Well I got a smaller file this time:

mpeg-2ps: 468 MiB, 2mn 29s
1 video streams: mpeg-2 video
1 audio streams: mpeg-1 audio layer 2

First video stream
40 Mbps, 1920*1088 (16/9), at 29.970 fps, mpeg-2 video , main*high , custom matrix
