can i edit a dvd and add text to it

Hi everyone this is my first time in the forum and i would like to know if there is a software that i can use to add msgs on my dvd like silence movie is about to start and then the movie starts to play. i don't know if its adding sub titles can some one help thanks

Hi-

Yes, you can create subtitles and add them to the DVD as Forced Subs. Or you can create a clip with the text already encoded to it and add it to the beginning of the movie, or encode the text at the very opening of the movie. Making subs is probably the best way. Here's a guide:
