Strip an angle PARTLY

This might seem a really stupid thing to do but I want to strip "some" of the angle materials. I have a DVD with 2 angles. There are two segments in the movie where one can choose between them, now I want to strip the second one but keep the first.
Like this:

angle2 stripped
start-------angle1------------------angle1-------end


How can I do this? IfoEdit seems to support only stripping all angle segments form the choosen angle.

Have never tried this, but you could try deleting the cell you don't want from the cell table with PgcEdit and then running the domain thru FixVTS.

That should work. However, it is also necessary to remove the angle information in the remaining cell (the second "angle 1" cell in the example above.) It is easy to remove the angle flags with PgcEdit, but you need IfoEdit to clear the "First ILVU End" value.
Then, FixVTS should be able to remove the useless angle cell.

Usually there is a title for each angle.
You can use CloneDVD2 to copy the title you wished. It blacks out non-desired angle cells of the other.

This is not correct for seamless angles.
Usually there are different titles for non-seamless angles and seamless branches.

I just tried using pgcEdit to stip the cell containing angle 2 in the second anglesegment, works great!
How do I remove the angle information from angle 1 with pgcedit? I can't find where to do this.

To remove the angle flags, click on the "Type flags" button of the cell (the button with 2 numbers), and untick the "Angle block" checkbox. Save!

As I've said before, you need IfoEdit to clear the "First ILVU End" value of the remaining angle. Load the IFO in IfoEdit, and expand VTS_PGCITI, then select the movie PGC (probably VTS_PGC_1.) In the lower pane, scroll down to the cell you need to edit in the Cell Playback section. Double-click on First ILVU VOBU end sector, and type 0 in the dialog. Repeat this operation for all cells you need to modify. Finally, save the IFO.

Be sure to reload the modified IFOs in PgcEdit, and to open the main movie in the PGC editor again, as PgcEdit might need to fix the total duration of the PGC.

Now, you should be ready to process the VOBs with FixVTS.

Note that I'm not sure that you need to clear the First ILVU End value before FixVTS. FixVTS could do it automatically.

I forgot to say that, in the first step, you have also to untick the "interleaved allocation" flag (also available via the "Type flags" button of the cell.)

You might also have to untick the "Seamless angle change" flag, although this flag is not always set on multi-angle cells, and might be set on non-angle cells. See in non-multi-angle cells if it is set or clear, and do the same for the modified cells.
