Need advice on color correction

Most of my experience with AviSynth has been to clean up old movies and poorly converted animation, so I've gotten pretty good with using a variety of noise filters, smoothers, and sharpeners. However, I havn't fooled around with the colors much.

I'm now working on ripping my first porn DVD. (pure interlaced NTSC video)

The video is crisp and clear, with almost no noise. I've decided that I don't need any sharpening, or any heavy denoising. ColorMatrix isn't needed, its already in the correct color set. I'm just gonna go with Undot() to improve compressability a bit.

However, the colors are off a bit... not even sure how to describe it, but they are harsh, a bit too bright? Almost like what outdoor glare looks like on a digital camera.

Please advise on how to soften up the colors a bit.

provide an unprocessed sample (create an *.m2v snipplet with DGIndex) of a scene that is not offensive.

What type of video do you intent to convert to?

Offensive to one person might not be offensive to another, how's he going to know?

If it's a pron movie it is hardly high quality cinematography. So it is probably how it was shot.

Can you not just use ColorYUV or Tweak or something like that so it looks okay to you?

Well, the problem was partially a display issue... I encode on my laptop, and it looked bad... when I inspected the video on my trinitron, it looked much better.

I spent some time on the AviSynth Wiki last night, reading up on the adjusting functions. I can't decide if I need to use ColorYUV, Levels, or Tweak...

Part of the problem is that I don't have experience working with a color system other then RGB, so even with the documentation its hard to know what to adjust first. As always though, AvsP's sliders are a godsend, and once I get some more time to fool around with it some more, I'm sure I'll get some decent results.

I searched around and found some guides on using Tweak, but does anyone know of any guides explaning the basics of working with Luma-Chroma?

even Pron has scenes, that are harmless. Such as a pan through the house/garden without girls/boys visible...

So, a sample is still the only way to show the problem.
Words often aren't enough to describle problems in image quality.
