It's my first DVD purchase in a long while, and my first of the new batch. However, I checked the maker after I got home, and it's a Sony disc, therefore I think it's got that bastardization (ArcCos or whatever they bloody well call it), cause it's the first DVD I've run through DVD Decrypter that it's fallen over. It wouldn't even get past the first hurdle of actually reading the disc, let alone decrypting!

So what do I need to do to get this thing backed up to my hard drive?

Hi, maybe have a look here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARccOS_Protection - they mention which programs are able to overcome the ArccOS protection

good luck!
