Is this correctable?

Wanted to ask, is this progressive video source fixable or is it a lost cause?

Well, you can definately salvage something from it. Just crop everything but the right image and resize to original resolution with half height to remove combing (it it's required).

I'm guessing the two images are sequential fields in an analogue capture. If so, there is probably some scary way to recombine them into one frame, which will probably help lots.

I'd aim for a target size of 320x240 :)

This was more of a experiment then anything. To create it, I used component cables to basically force a 480p signal into something that only accepts 480i :). The results were better then I thought they would be (I didn't even think the signal would take).

My point of doing it was to compare quality of 480p to 480i. However, having to perform all the corrections necessary would most likely negate any quality gains of 480p, correct?

The test capture was done at 720x480. But if I was to do one at 640x480, would it be possible to correct it return it to the full vertical/horizontal height of 640x480?
