Hey all,
I'm fairly new to video encoding/decoding, as I haven't really had any real need earlier. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, or if it's been posted before (quite frankly I have no idea what to search for).
Anyway, I've got an MKV file which has DTS sound and according to VLC, AVC1 as video codec, the resolution is 1280x544. I'd like for it to play on my PS3 by burning it as AVCHD, but I think the PS3 won't play it unless the resolution is a standard, so I need to add black borders to the video so that the resolution ends up at 1280x720. At the same time I need to transcode (or can I simply remux?) it to MPEG TS (I think PS3 should be able to play MPEG-4 TS, yes? I'll need the extra compression).
Hence, I'm looking for a tool that would both resize and transcode/remux efficiently and somewhat easily. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Fuw
