Anyone know what this is or how to get it? Never heard of it...It mentions it at the very end of the article. (http://news.cnet.com/news/0-1006-200-8362549.html?tag=lh)

found this article: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/011121/daw011_1.html

says it was a thanksgiving day only deal, but doesn't say what the card gets you. Just that it's a 52-week rental card, is that unlimited rentals or 1 a day like the $30 /month deal?

The article also mentions this promo, which is still in effect:

"Free Rental with New Hardware: A free Blockbuster 5-Day DVD rental at participating stores when customers bring in their receipt confirming their purchase of any DVD player from the retailer of their choice. (Dec. 1 - Jan. 31)"

not as sweet as a free dvd player, but anyone who bought a dvd player for the holidays may like a free rental.

Check out netflix.com

It's a much better deal than my crappy $30 month BB card. Every DVD from BB skips so I found a much better alternate. Netflix gets good reviews all over the nets and I've yet to be disappointed by them. Best Buy has a promotion with them now also!

they were throwing in a free dvd player too the last i saw it advertised. And i think it was probably the one day type rental, i would doubt they'd give you five days. If you live next door to one it might be worth it b/c netflix takes a few days sending dvds back and forth in the mail.

Yeh, that's the only downside to Netflix for me. I have to wait 2-3 days before I get the movies. However, the pros definitely out weight the cons. BB seems to only real carry Pan & Scan DVD's for the most part. My biggest problem with BB is the discs are always scratched thus giving playback problems.

I called them and they didn't know what the hell I was talking about but the punk kid said they might get the $20 dvd rental pass again.
I use rentmydvd.com (http://rilanparty.com/vbb/showthread.php?&threadid=8407) that holiday gift certificate promotion is still going on.
