How to split the sound from the movie?

I wanna split the sound from one of my movies which already have sound ;)

How can I do that?

Hi-In VDub-NanDub, open the .avi (it is an .avi, isn't it?), then go File-Save WAV, and give it a name. The movie keeps its sound and you get another MP3 of the sound track (assuming you used MP3 to begin with).

ok, but I need to cut off the audio from the movie, completly!

Maybe I'm wrong or is there another methode to give the audio more quality and after that I want to put the audio and movie together again

just mux in the new audio and the old will be replaced. or select "no audio" and save the avi file with "direct stream copy".
