Having problems getting DVD Shrink to shrink. Locks up my entire computer. Anyone have any answers?:)

Only questions: does it crash and reboot or just freeze? On reboot is there any error message? Can you cancel the program without rebooting? At what point in the process does DVD Shrink "lock up your entire computer?"

It just freezes,no error messages,cannot close program,and it seems tobe random during analyzing process. Consiquently, it does'nt get shrunk.

My first guesses would be the computer overheating, or possibly a faulty component.

One other thing could be that Shrink doesn't get the decrypting process of the dvd right and crashes, because some copy-protections were released after the development of Shrink stopped.
Try first imaging the DVD with DVDDecrypter or DVDFab HD Decrypter, then mount it with Daemon Tools, or another programm, and the open the VirtualDrive with Shrink.

@Stingrey
Although your speculation is possible (anything is possible ;>}), it is highly unlikely, as DVD Shrink is quite good at properly trapping errors and generating error messages rather than freezing...

DVD Shrink is quite good, but anything that uses Windows as an OS can freeze the whole system *g*.
But just like you said anything is possible, so just try it, if it works fine and if not, it will not kill your system.
