(W)VC-1 playback: Directshow

Core2 Extreme 6800/NVIDIA 7950GT/4GB RAM
OS: MCE 2005 SP2 w/ WMP11

VC-1 1080p .m2ts file playback:

1) no playback at all with just WMP 11
2) WMP 11 + Haali: playback in WMP11 with artifacts/psychedelic colors & "blocking", but only in certain parts of file
3) WMP 11 + Haali + ffdshow (WMV9) : playback in WMP11 with jumps/stutters, but only in certain parts of file--almost frustratingly smooth!!!
4) WMP 11 + Haali + ffdshow (libavcodec): playback in WMP11 with jumps/stutters, but only in certain parts of file; audio/video out-of-sync (and only one core utilized)
5) WMP 11 + Sonic HD Decoder: "constantly" jumpy playback
6) Powerlink DVD Ultra player (latest version): "constantly" jumpy playback

Looking for: smooth Directshow and/or WMP 11 playback of VC-1 .m2ts files

Do any of you guys have a problem with playback in WMP 11?

I believe that others are having problems somewhat similar to mine (see DeepBeepMeep's post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1027064#post1027064)). And the problem is not just with .EVO vc-1 files...it's also with (some) .m2ts vc-1 files.

It would appear there are some VC-1 encoded sources which yield "garbage" as he calls it, some which stutter or get an audio/video "unsyncing"...and that's just where we are with Haali and ffdshow at the present time. It all works *just* good enough to be frustrating, heh heh. (Beyond that...still no DirectShow decoding of the very new Dolby and DTS formats...AFAIK.) :rolleyes:

You can use SonicCinemasterAudiDecoder4.2 for DD+ Playback:)
