Episodes/Series DVDs using Ripit4Me

Hi guys,

I've been using RipIt4Me for a while to backup my DVDs but over the past month I've noticed that a number of newer DVDs (Monty Python Series 1-4, Alas Smith & Jones) that have episodes are not working correctly. The backups play fine on by PC but when I play them in my DVD player I get the initial screens (company logo, copyright notices) but it then stops when it tries to load the menu. I've wasted a load of DVDs trying to work this one out. Any ideas? I'm using the one click method, backing up the whole DVD with DVD Decrypter & performing all the VOB cleaning options. DVD Shrink backs up the entire DVD.

You may be causing the problems by "performing all the VOB cleaning options." You don't need to use them unless the disk has an advanced copy protection.

Thanks CWR03, spot on. If I just use DVD Shrink everything works fine.

Hmmm, not quite as good as I first thought. The Monty Python Series come up with a 'Invalid DVD navigation structure' when just using DVD Shrink. Any more ideas?

Have you tried DVD Decrypter by itself in file mode? I don't believe that series has any advanced copy protection.
