i finally after several hours got my computer to play hd dvd from xbox 360 hd rom. one thing though when i play and i check to see if hardware acceleration is enabled its not and is greyed out. while playing regular dvd's it is enabled. looking at cpu (c2d od'ed to 2.8) its around 25%, i have a radeon hd 2600 pro. any suggestions or is it working and just greyed for no reason? thanks for anyhelp.
p.s. i cant even watch a movie off of my hd, it skips and all hell breaks loose. thanks for anyhelp.

I have the 2400pro with a similar c2d
CPU never exceeds 10% when playing HD-DVD, hardware accel is enabled, (grayed out and ticked when playing)
No problems playing off HD either.

I have a lowly P4 w/3.2GHz but if I overclock it to 3.5 movies play smoothly from my HDD. I have only a X1950Pro.
I'm posting here mostly cuz of your "greyed for no reason" comment--I have not been able to figure-out PowerDVD options i.e. sometimes things are greyed and sometimes they are not and the Help file is no Help at all!!!
Anyway for your skipping problems I can only suggest HDD fragmentation and background processes as places to look for problems...
