i have cyberlink installed and somewhat working. i can watch .vc1 and .mpv. i cannot watch .m2ts or evo files. is this normal or is it still buggy. i took a evo files demuxed to mpv and mpa and can watch the mpv but when i remux them together i cant watch. thanks for any assistance.

Sounds like you're missing a splitter, since you can play elementary streams just fine, but not muxed streams.
And BTW - bumping is definitely frowned upon here.

do i need the .map and rest of the files that go w/ the evo files. all i have are the evo files.

Get Haali Media Splitter. http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/. It has TS support, which could be what you're missing.

i agree but i have no idea what is is. maybe ill try a complete overhaul tonight. but just to be clear all that is needed is the powerdvd and evo files. no splitter or .map files or trolls or magical ferry's right?

...just to be clear all that is needed is the powerdvd and evo files.I put an .evo by itself on a separate hard drive and open it w/PDVD as a "media file" and it plays with sound & video. So I don't think any magic dust is needed. Just a good PDVD installation, and clean rip?

what do you mean bye good rip? and is there a way to delete everything off my drive that deal w/ powerdvd registry, dll, etc so i can do a complete clean install
