Splitting audio off RGB SCART

Hi guys, I come to you at the end of my rope. I've been trying to get my new capturing system ready to capture from some of the older video game systems which support RGB Scart but I've run into a brick wall.

My setup is as follows:

From the video game console I have an RGB scart lead that goes into an scart to Component box (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130134214607), which then plugs in to my Component video capture card.

The problem is the scart to component box doesnt support audio, so I need to split that off before it goes through it. I've purchased two adapters which seemed to be able to do the job but they both fail.

Now one would think that since the male end is labeled TV and the female end is labeled input that there shouldnt be a problem here, except I get no audio from the audio out cables with my setup.

I next tried this:

While it worked, there is a terrible buzz throughout the audio which I cant work with. I assume this is because of the low build quality of this device.

So I come to you guys requesting help in the matter. Again, All I need to do is split the audio from a MALE scart, and at the same time keep the scart signal going to another male scart. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I've checked and the first adapter from Philips is passing audio through the scart, but Im not getting anything out of the phono jacks it has. Anyone?

Hmm, I wonder if that little gizmo is relying on the fact that most TVs replay their input back out on their audio outs? You're not plugging it into a TV, so there's no returned audio. If you can find a SCART female-female "sausage", you could plug that adaptor in backwards and use a SCART male-male lead to send the signal to the convertor, out of the INPUT end.

david! You are the best! You were absolutely right! Its working now! The only issue I have at the moment is the Sega Saturn, which outputs a very annoying buzz constantly for audio :|
