OS X support for ripping HD-DVD?

Hey folks,
I've tried some searches but I haven't found anything...
Is there anything out there that will allow me to rip HD-DVDs in OS X? I have just ordered the Microsoft drive and I'd love to be able to rip on my macs. I have parallels and windows as well as several linux boxes...but I'd prefer to work in OS X.

I tried compiling the C++ version of BackupHDDVD with apple's gcc, but it fails pretty quickly.

Well, being Java based, DumpHD should run on all platforms.

I did find DumpHD shortly after my post and it does run.

I guess the real challenge is mounting the UDF 2.5 file system in 10.4.x ... anyone know a way to accomplish that?

As far as I can tell the shortest, perhaps only, path to UDF 2.5 is Leopard. As it happens there are torrents for the preview builds, if you are into that sort of thing.

I briefly looked at FUSE for Mac OS but there was no support for UDF 2.5.

I guess what I've really discovered is that even once ripped there isnt much of anything that will play the audio on OS X yet

Mplayer compiled fine and plays the video... but from what I can tell I have to use a windows box to de-mux the audio and video then try and convert the audio to something playable then re-mux and compress (optional)... so that means I'm using at least linux and windows and since all of my play back hardware is OS X...I've got 3 operating systems to work with.
The problem for me is that none of my linux and windows hardware is very powerful...my dual G5 would be great for the transcoding, but I can't find any way to use it.

I think you will find that VLC will play a properly encoded movie... or at least I have watched several HD movies on my Dual G5.

Also I think you will find that the Dual G5 isn't as fast as you hope... at least not in comparison to the newer multi-core X86 processors. As long as it takes to transcode a standard definition movie I have no plans to do a lot of HD transcoding on my Dual G5.

I've been putting off my upgrade until the whole HD-DVD / Bluray war stupidity is resolved.. well that and Leopard being out for a while.

I wish VLC was the answer, but I cannot get even the nightly builds to play .EVO files from a ripped DVD. I know they are valid b/c mplayer will play the video, but not the audio. Storage space isn't much a concern so I'd be ok with not transcoding them - but I cannot find anything to play them.

here's what VLC says:
No suitable decoder module for format
VLC probably does not support the "WVC1" audio or video format. Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
