View Full Version : Losslessly trim a portion of an MP3

I just guess there must be some way of doing it, just as it's possible to rotate JPEGs without losing any quality.
What I want to do is trim a given portion of an MP3 file without having to recompress it, which would cause some quality loss. Is it possible? Which program should I use?

The only audio editing software I use is Audacity, but it doesn't seem to let me do this. If I want to export the trimmed audio file to MP3 I have to recompress it.

Hope you can help me.
Thanks in advance,

Pablo

Thank you very much for showing me the way to these nice and useful pieces of software...
sorry that I asked something so simple, but it's always good to receive advice from th knowledgable ones (and nowhere better to look for them than Doom9 forums :P ).

Greetings,
