I am currently processing video for my job. The video is flight paths recorded on board from a compix LP 701. A GPS unit is hooked up to the compix lp 701 (its a subtitler) which is in turn hooked up to a vcr. The subtitler is then written directly onto the video. However from reading numerous posts from all over it seems like there should be a way to extract this stream from the compix (subtitler). The schematic for the LP701 shows a couple of key parts which handled the
overlay of the GPS information. One is the MC1378 and the other is the CRT9007. I have looked at the online datasheets for the above components but lack the expertise to understand them.
My question then is with the above information is the Compix LP 701 hard subbing the data so it will never be able to be extracted or not?
