Making VCDs with Audio delay

I like to make VCDs with just using the created DVD2AVI File and the AC3 to WAV File. For Video I use the Project File and Sound is the WAV file. For 0ms delay it always works fine but with all above the audio is out of sync. What can I do?

go to Filters > Source Range, and enter the offset number for the delay whether it be positive or negative. if you ripped with DVD2AVI the offset may be off, just keep trying different values until you find the right one.

You mean the audio gap correction?

Thanx for the help. But I just made a Backup with DVDx. It is 2h slower somehow but it works.

oh. well dvdx looks nowhere as near good as TMPG, but i just found this out: the number offset on the ac3, say it was -86, you have to enter positive 86 in TMPG, for some reason its backwards.

also, if the audio is not synch towards the end of the movie, but is in the very beginning, it means you have the wrong framerate, i had this problem with almost every d2v file i made, detecting the wrong framerate =\ to fix this i just make a pseudo avi with VFAPI and run that through virtual dub frameserver and change the frames per second to the correct 23.976 film setting.

The AC3 file has a delay of 1002ms (-1002ms then?). DVDx seems to look quite good. It only takes more time. The framerate is correct.

yes try that in TMPG and see if it works if you want.
