Hello,

I'm after some suggestions on the best way to rip the Audio track off a DVD I have and to burn it to CDR (maybe 2 or 3 CDR's) with the best quality possible.

I'm not interested in the video, so this should free up a hell of a lot of space. The DVD is in DD format.

I have downloaded a few different rip programs off the download section, but they either dont work, or they arnt right for what I want to do.

Sorry if I am repeating someone eles's request, but the search tool seems not to work.

Rip DVD with Smartripper, use DVD2AVI to rip tracks from VOB Files (and small d2v file which you can delete). The you will have X AC3
files. Use Azid and Lame 0.91 to convert selected tracks to WAV or
to MP3 format with superb quality..

bye

Cheers Guys,

I used Gordian Knot package, which had almost everything needed....with a bit of messing about I managed to get it to work, although it wasnt as clear as the original. The trouble I have now is knowing how to burn it back to CDR in a format for a standard CD player to use (CDA?) without too much quality loss.

Thanks

in order to burn it to a cdr in audio cd format, you're gonna have to resample the audio to 44.1khz. every dvd I have seen so far has 48khz sample rate. I know azid and lame can do this and there is another progrm too called ssrc that was made to resample audio to 44.1 khz.

you can use besweet, (and its acssociated gui) to do all of this .
