Hi

My Pinnacle PCTV was working fine until I upgraded my GFX card from a TNT2 to a Geforce 3. Tried re-installing the card but still nothing, and I get a blue screen if I try putting the TNT2 back in so now Im stuck with the geforce.

Any help ?, running Win2kpro and using an ECSK7S5A Mobo.

The old drivers for the TNT2 were detonators, reinstalling them doesn't seem to have any effect, and Im using Win2k not XP so i cant do a system restore.

The capture card shows up as working ok in the device manager, but it doesn't work. The Pinnacle software that comes with it fails on the last test saying another device is using it, but Ive disabled everything running in the background using MSCONFIG and still nothing.

Sorry, should have elaborated with rolling back the drivers. Always if you reinstall drivers for an older card, you should uninstall the drivers for the card. Try that, let Windows detect the card, cancel, then reinstall the card.

And System Restore is on 2K. ;)

It is ?, lol, I never knew.

I was hoping I could use the Geforce with the cap card for obvious reasons though. :)

reinstall 2k?
I noticed that sometimes its buggy with hardware when we used it
may have been our hardware though

Would like to avoid that if possible.

PS - How do you run system restore on Win2k ?, done a quick google and says it doesn't exist (which was what I always thought).

I have found it on 2K. Twas (if memory serves me correct), in much the same place as XP, i.e. Right-click My Computer >> Properties >> System Restore tab. Haven't used 2K since I basically stood in for a techie for about half an hour whilst he had his lunch break at my old high school! :)
