Hi, I was looking around and was not able to find a guide like this. I heard that MKV was supposed to be the a new container thats pretty nice and thinking of using it to archive some of my DVDs. Im having trouble backing up individuals episodes from a season1 of firefly into individual MKVs, how do i select it to have a couple of chapters be in one file?

I have GK and MKVtoolnix, I think i have to do something w/VirtualDub but I am not sure. Could someone point me in the right direction?

MKV is just a container; the reason you use it is twofold:

1. It can properly hold an H.264 video stream.

2. It can have subtitle tracks.

is there a guide that shows how to do the subtitles and also ripping some chapters instead of the whole thing?
