VobBlanker Download: How Set It Up? What's All This Stuff?

I've used VobBlanker several times. I just downloaded the latest version of it. It came with...

1. VobBlanker.exe: I just put it on my desktop. Is that the best place for it?

2. VobBlanker.chm: I just put that on my desktop also. Good? Would it be better to organize all the stuff that comes with VobBlanker into some folder or something?

3. Rights folder with txt file. I don't need that. I deleted it.

4. DoneKO and DoneOK wavs. What am I supposed to do with these?

5. Remove VobBlanker settings.reg:

a. What am I supposed to do with this?

b. What is it for?

6. Remove VobBlanker WindowCoord...Registration Entries:

a. What am I supposed to do with this?

b. What is it for?

7. del angles.exe: I just dropped this on my desktop. I see it has to do with deleting all angles except one in IFOs.

a. Is the desktop the best place for this program?

b. What are angles?

c. How do I know if there are any angles on my DVDs?

d. Readmedelangles.txt says VobBlanker 2.1.1.0 updates VOBs (deleting all the unused angles)... How does this relate to or affect delangles.exe?

VobBlanker is a standalone app. You can put it and the ancilliary files in a separate folder anywhere. I wouldn't use the desktop, but the desktop might be a good place for a shortcut to the exe if you use VobBlanker often.

The CHM is the help file, of course. The wav files make nice sounds on success or an interesting view on life if the operation was not successful. Why don't you play them and find out? Leave the reg files alone and delangles too.

Have you bothered to skimp over the (excellent) help file and/or searched this forum? There are hundreds, if not thousands, of posts on VobBlanker and its features. Please observe rule 1 and 1a before asking questions.

In this vein, a search will answer your question on angles.

The CHM is the help file
The help file is not working for me. I get "Navigation to the website was cancelled. I used to get this with an older vobblanker help file, and I forget how I fixed it.

What OS are you using? Win XP?
Verify that the chm file is not protected.

Also, verify that Vobblanker.cnt is in the same folder.

Hi,
In Properties it was blocked. The blurb said something about the file came from another computer so it was blocking it. I just clicked unblock and now it opens. Thanks. I don't have a VobBlanker.cnt file though. No file with that name came in the download unless it's in with VobBlanker.exe or within something else but I don't see it. I am using WinXP. Cheers.

OK, I guess the cnt file is created automatically when needed.
